Solveig´s Song

Heroine of a poem by Norwegian Playwright Henrik Ibsen, Solveig is a delicate young woman who personifies femininity. Having left her family for her lover Peer Gynt, Solveig kept on loving and waiting for him all her life. The famous lyrical “Solveig’s Chant” by Edvard Grieg makes the image of a young lady completely vulnerable and beautiful as a spring flower.
