Why do we need the Arts?

Trump Presidency is having a major effect on multiple areas, since we have witnessed in the last few months. Today, I wish to reflect aloud about its impact on the Arts, cultural programs and institutions.

Despite Trump´s business interests with the entertainment and television industries, the new administration intends to introduce funding cuts and tax policy changes, and is even contemplating to pass legislation to eliminate the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the National Endowment for the Humanities. At this respect, a quick reminder that both the House and the Senate are controlled by Republicans.

It is a paradox that, according to the National Endowment for the Arts and the Department of Commerce, the arts and cultural production contributed $729.6 billion to the American Economy in 2014, amounting to 4.2% of gross domestic product. Certainly, the arts play a more significant role to the national economy than do the construction, mining, utilities, insurance, and accommodation and food services industries.

People & Mission

I have often wondered whether our encounters with people through life are predestined, meant to happen.

Sometimes we might meet certain people to learn some lessons and evolve, grow spiritually. On some other occasions we might be of help to them -guidance, support-. Finally, in some of these encounters it’s simply God wishing to encourage us with that company, “rewarding” us with that Beauty to enlighten our existence and to “show” us a bit of Paradise on Earth.

It is convenient to identify what type of encounter it is so that we can realize our mission softly in each situation, without forcing, feeling frustrated or confused.

Another important aspect is acceptance. Some people are not to stay with us for long. They only come for a reason or purpose and then they leave. We should be grateful for the experience we have lived and do not show resistance -pain- when they are gone!

Are you a Lightworker?

I have recently come across this article and wanted to share it with you. It can be helpful to find our purpose and mission in our existence and daily interactions.

“Lightworkers are individuals who have made a conscious (sometimes subconscious) decision to help “raise the vibration” of humanity.

The lightworkers are here to “hold the love and the light ” that is radiating from the infinite-all or creator GOD , and to trasmit that energy through their words, thoughts, feelings and actions in order to broadcast or “stream” the cosmic energy into the minds and hearts of humanity; many who may not be consciously holding onto this light on their own. It is almost as if they are transforming the lower dark vibrations and transforming it into higher light vibrations. “spreading the love”. The ultimate goal is to help themselves and humanity ascend as a planetary whole. Ascension is the movement from one lower form of consciousness/energy into a higher or cosmic awareness/vibration.

Anyone can be a lightworker or choose to walk the lightworker path, although there are many lightworker-souls who prior to birth have chosen to incarnate on the earth plane to help assist humanity in some way; often in the form of writing or speaking, charity work or working towards a good cause, or by just being a kind and loving individual in order to help “raise” the energy of those around them to one of light and love.

Spiritually advanced lightworkers can even work and assist on a spiritual or cosmic level through meditation and prayer. Those who resonate with light-work or consider themselves aware and willing to travel the lightworker path are often indigos, starseeds and walk-ins, although not all indigos, starseeds and walk-ins are necessarily lightworkers.

Lightworkers often feel inspired to help others through spiritual meditation, teaching, healing, prayer, writing and speaking through unconditonal love. Lightworkers come from a variety of spiritual traditions and backgrounds, yet generally agree that the healing light they work with is comprised of eternal energy connecting everyone and everything in the universe, and that it is possible for people to connect consciously with divine light energies through intention.

Some Words About Lightworkers

A Lightworker’s mission is to hold as much light as possible and to shine their love, happiness, and peace into the world. To calm the inner turmoil, to just be, and be happy with who you are, to love life, to love all that is, that power some call god, and of course to love one and other unconditionally.”

“Light” energy can also interpreted as the energy of the divine creator (or God) within us all – sometimes referred to as “inner light”.

Anyone on earth can become a LightWorker if they are truly committed in his or her heart to helping others awaken to Love. Love makes life “lighter.” We “shed light” on dark situations with Love. Our hearts open in Love. We then make possible the connection with our Soulmates, which in turn brings more Love.

Lightworkers may have volunteered, before birth, to help the planet and its population heal from the effects of fear. Each lightworker is here for a sacred purpose. Very often, however, A 3 dimensional life on earth which tends to focus on materialism and conditioning creates a form of amnesia in lightworkers. They often forget their divine purpose, and also their abilitiess to help the earth and it;s inhabitants. When lightworkers forget their true identity and purpose, they tend to feel lost, confused and afraid. Many lightworkers are discovering innate spiritual gifts, such as intutiton and healing abilities. Most have a special appreciation for animals and a divine love of the beauty of nature. These are the gifts that we volunteered to use to heal the earth and her population during the crucial decades surrounding the millennium. Prophecies predicted their coming. Lightworkers have chosen to seek spiritual knowledge and have made the choice to do their part to assist Earth and Mankind in their ascension. The world depends on the Lightworkers to hold as much god energy/ light as possible in order for earth to ascend.

Lightworker is a term given to those who are actively on the spiritual path. Not all Lightworkers are starseed or walk-ins and not all starseeds and walk-ins are Lightworkers. It is when the individual makes the conscious choice to begin their spiritual path and assist others that they become a Lightworker”.

Paris Climate Agreement Signing Ceremony

Coinciding with the Earth Day, the Paris Agreement has been signed on April 22 at the UN Headquarters, in New York City. Among other goals, it will fight against global warming and greenhouse gas emissions.

The Paris Agreement was adopted by all 196 Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) at the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris on 12 December 2015. In the Agreement, all countries agreed to work to limit global temperature rise to well below 2 degrees Celsius, and to strive for 1.5 degrees Celsius.

The agreement will enter into force 30 days after at least 55 countries, accounting for at least 55 per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions, deposit their instruments of ratification or acceptance with the Secretary-General.

The implementation of the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development are key tools for promoting prosperity, improving people’s wellbeing, and protecting the environment.

What do Climate Change and the Protection of the Environment have to do with us? Is it entirely the responsibility of political leaders? – Being a “citizen” means as well to take on responsibilities, at the community level, in our neighborhoods, workplace…  UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon made it clear that each of us has a role to play emphasizing that “small actions, multiplied by millions, will bring about dramatic change, bolstering the Paris Agreement”.

Personally, at home I recycle garbage, am concerned of the use of energy -heating, electricity-, am careful with noise, try to purchase products environment-friendly, use public transportation as much as possible, and stay up to date -follow news and read-.

A Woman´s Moon Centers

In a recent workshop, I have known about moon centers, which are exclusive to women. According to Jivan Joti Kaur, moon centers are: “Sensitive physical areas located on the woman’s body that are responsive to lunar energies and affect how we deal with our everyday life. “

We have 11 Moon Centers in our body, and we dwell in each one for 2 1/2 days. Every woman’s rotation pattern is unique, and stays the same her entire life. However, a sudden event -emotional shock- can change the natural rhythm or rotation pattern. The Moon Centers do not coincide with the menstrual cycle or zodiacal mood cycle.

Our 11 moon centers:

  1. Clitoris: very social, likes to network and connect
  2. Vagina: also social, but deep cavity — tendency to be inward and pensive.
  3. Thighs (inner organs also): most organized, to the point of obsession, you make your lists, clean, organize. Best time to do the things on your lists.
  4. Navel: most insecure, which creates a lot of pain. Do: breath of fire, navel power sets, meditate, silence, go inward, write, be creative, dance. Don’t: chocolate fest.
  5. Breasts/Nipples: most compassionate and heart-centered. Dangerous: might have a hard time setting your boundaries. Most likely to be sensual/sexual – affects whether you want to be touched.
  6. Back of the neck – very romantic and erotic. flirtatious, takes risks and not very logical. Not a good time to make a decision but a good time to brainstorm. Not good for planning, meetings, or detailed work.
  7. Lips: speech, communication. Words can be uplifting/effective. But if you’re not balanced, words can be harsh and alienating. Be careful or be still! May be most into kissing and erotic expression.
  8. Cheeks: most dangerous! We’re crazy. Most emotional, illogical, and delusional. Emotions run away with themselves, say things we don’t mean, pick fights.
  9. Earlobes: Self-righteous, connected to our values, more prone to activism and judgmental.
  10. Eyebrows: most subtle part of our parasympathetic nervous system. illusionary/imaginary. Be creative or brainstorm and play! Don’t make decisions or go shopping, but dream.
  11. Hairline (archline): Our halo. Wisdom, focused. Time you’re most connected to your essence. Great for decisions!

Charting the Moon Centers

Jivan Joti Kaur Khalsa  advices that if we watch our diet, practice yoga and meditation, and maintain a positive attitude, we can observe our emotional tendencies at each Moon Center and not be a victim to them. We can study them to better understand our personality and then use them for our benefit. An added benefit is that stimulating our active Moon Center can be very sensually erotic in love-making.
